WHO WE ARE

We are a group of registered dietitians, counselors, parents, students and beloved children of God living to make His name famous through celebrating body acceptance, size diversity and gentle nutrition.


MEET THE TEAM


 Dawn Clifford  Dawn is an Associate Professor of Nutrition and a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She is a wife and a mother to an amazing 11-year old boy. Dawn enjoys finding creative ways to spread the word that God’s unconditional love can bring healing to every broken relationship, including one with food.

 Nicole Mesita  Nicole resides in the East Bay Area where she works as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She and her beloved husband serve as small group leaders in their growing young adult ministry. She completed both her bachelors degree and her dietetic internship at California State University, Chico, where she was also a NCAA cross country and track athlete. Through those experiences, God prompted her to help people of all shapes and sizes discover body peace and acceptance through the unconditional love of Jesus. Nicole most enjoys spending time around a table and cooking for the people she loves.

 Kristen Bunger  Kristen is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in eating disorders, oncology, and pediatrics. In private practice and in life, Kristen desires to incorporate the truth of God's Word into her life and the lives of her clients, knowing that it is the Truth that sets all of us free! She and her husband Keith love being part of their local church community and seeking God's will in all areas.

 Hannah Mellum  Hannah lives in Reno, Nevada with her beloved husband and daughter.  After struggling with disordered eating during adolescence, Hannah discovered healthy approaches to body-image, food, and exercise during her studies in the Nutrition department at California State University, Chico.  Hannah has a heart for sharing the freeing principles of body acceptance with everyone she meets, especially other moms.  She is excited to raise her daughter to know that each and every person is made beautifully in God's image and He wants us to revel in the awe of that beauty every day.  Hannah loves spending her time running around with her sweet toddler, cooking for her family, practicing Pilates, and cultivating her love of photography.

Jessica-Lauren Newby

Jessica-Lauren resides in Oxford, Mississippi where she manages a private practice as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Jessica-Lauren believes that the Lord values all bodies as He lovingly designed all the unique shapes, sizes and colors. She lives her own blessed-beyond-measure life with her beloved husband, two amazing daughters, and two wonderfully crazy dogs. They serve in worship, small group leadership, mentorship and prayer at their local church.  

 Natalie Wilson  Natalie is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who works as an inpatient dietitian focusing in critical care nutrition. She received her bachelors degree at California State University, Chico and hopes to pursue a Masters degree in the future. Natalie is a new resident to beautiful Southern Oregon and in her free time enjoys hiking, camping, archery, and reading. She is excited about where God is taking her and to fulfill the duty of furthering the Kingdom of Heaven on earth by the way of body acceptance and love.

Natalie is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who works as an inpatient dietitian focusing in critical care nutrition. She received her bachelors degree at California State University, Chico and hopes to pursue a Masters degree in the future. Natalie is a new resident to beautiful Southern Oregon and in her free time enjoys hiking, camping, archery, and reading. She is excited about where God is taking her and to fulfill the duty of furthering the Kingdom of Heaven on earth by the way of body acceptance and love.

Emma Sakai

Emma recently completed her master's in psychology, where she researched the effects of exercise on body image. She has since become an advocate for the importance of balance between mental and physical health, and is delighted to be a part of a team that takes Biblical and spiritual approach to eating and exercise. Emma is currently working for abehavioral team that works with developmentally disabled adults.

 

 Katie McDonald  Katie is a recent transplant to north county, San Diego. She is currently getting her masters in social work at CSU San Marcos. Katie is working though disordered eating and mental illness and desires to use her vulnerability and experiences to help other women feel that they are not alone. Katie enjoys hiking surfing and being with her family.
